Our leader and former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi is being known for his tremendous efforts to strengthen the modern India. He paved the foundation for drastic social changes in the country through implementing the visionary projects like decentralization of power which resulted in the empowerment of villages, IT revolution which changed the future of Indian youth, etc.
The tragedy struck on 21 May 1991 at Sri Perumbathoor, which took the life of Rajivji not only shattered his body but, it demolished the dreams of a billion people, advancing to prosperity on the wings of the visionary leader.
He was fallen prey to the same destiny of his mother, Indira Gandhi, who dedicated her life to the unity of the country. The martyrdom of Rajiv Gandhi is reminding us his exhausting fight against the forces in war with the nation. The nation is planning to celebrate his 75th birthday on August 20 this year and Rajiv Youth Foundation is celebrating the occasion as ‘Rajivji Janma Panchasapthathi Samaroh’ for a period of one year.
